He does look quite forlorn and I can only imagine what kind of life he has had. I think that it would have upset me for quite a while after seeing him. I cannot even go into an animal shelter because I would want to take them all home and I already have 3 dogs and a cat! Wonderful portrait of the dog with the boat.
